SNP led Renfrewshire Council has agreed to build a new Park Mains High School in Erskine. This will be from traditional funding sources rather than the PFI exploitation that took place under Labour, which has resulted in the council having to pay back over £500million for only £100million worth of facilities. Each year the council's budget is raided to pay off this extortionate debt. This new school will cost in the region of £33million and will be fully funded without such scandalous financing. Labour councillors -including the two who are meant to represent Erskine - have consistently voted against the plans for a new Park Mains High School, their voting records can be found on the council's website.
